Faridat (pronounced fah-ree-duh) is a self-taught makeup artist, psychiatric registered nurse, and Doctor of Nursing Practice student.

Her love for makeup began in 2012 during her freshman year of high school. Eager to feel beautiful, she would reach for her mother’s brown MAC pigment and sweep it across her eyelids. That moment sparked a creative journey, fueled by hours of studying dark-skinned beauty icons on YouTube like Jackie Aina, Makeupd0ll, and BeautyByJJ.

In 2015, after honing her skills on herself and close friends, Faridat launched her first makeup brand, BeatbyFre. Her earliest clients were classmates who booked her for birthdays, proms, graduations, school plays, and more.

After a nine-year hiatus, Faridat reignited her passion and rebranded as Faridat K. Beauty, a luxurious makeup experience rooted in soft glam and tailored enhancement. Every look is designed to highlight her clients’ natural features, offering a signature “kempt beat” that feels timeless and effortlessly beautiful.
